I have changed to a new chat room system, which provides more functionality.

Please let me know what you think of it.

Still some small problems with it.
I am having a problem with scrolling back up the screen.... after it has scrolled away.
When I want to see what was said earlier, then I would normally scroll back up to see, with this chat, it flicks up and down and stops on the latest words.....
Any fix??
thanks and otherwise a very nice setup.

After kind of a rough start, i was able to enter the new and improved chat room tonite.
I LIKE being able to change text color depending on my mood. I also like the increased 'smiley ability'.

It seemed like there were a whole lot of people there, but only one or two were talking. I wonder if the room doesnt 'sign them out' when they leave?

As for the problem of scrolling text, that happens in yahoo chat, too. I think there is a 'code' alt + ?) to freeze the screen so you can scroll back to see the text, but i dont know what it is. It jumps when a new post enters the screen.

Also, if you keep the cursor in the chat text box window, rather than switch from screen to screen it will also make the chat room continue to scroll automatically.
(for instance, if you are surfing another site at the same time, or have a pm box open you may have to manually scroll the chat screen down when you return to the room).

What i like BEST, is not having the html codes when you type an apostrophe!

Great Work TeaseMePlz! Thanks...its a rousing success!

It is SO fun to visit the chat room!
I have experienced a few technical problems, and watched with amusement while others bounce/get booted in and out and in and out (of the room) but i have learned a couple tips to share with the folks here:

1) to send a PRIVATE message (that the whole room will not see) type the code:
/msg whirlingskirt (or the exact chat name of whomever you want the message to go to)

in the text box.

2) the room scrolls MUCH better if you keep the chat window active. Sometimes my words double post if i type too fast

3) to get more information on chat , type

/help (and then enter)

in the text box, and click on the info you need.

Even if you are socially inept one person said that was the reason they didnt take part in the conversation)), there is still fun to be had, and friends to make! All you have to do is say hello when you enter and you are on your way to a fun or interesting chat experience.

PS- i like shy men  !
