So here's a question for the other webgeeks here on OD.com. I have a couple of friends who travel often, and they like to use numbered plastic seals and photo evidence of his celibacy while they're apart. While they've traditionally used a webcam or digital camera and laptop, they recently upgraded to camera phones and are looking for a similar system they can use without the extra transferring-the-photo-to-the-PC-and-then-email step.
She wants to be able to call him for random security checks during the day, and since I'm their lucky webhead I get to make this work. Pretty much all they're looking for is a photoblog he can email cameraphone pictures to.
The ideal software would be open source (or at least free). We have access to PHP, MySQL, and PERL but our ASP pages are a mod and may not work reliably. Please post or drop me a PM/EM if you have any experience with this sort of software.
Keyholders: if I find a suitable photoblog package I'll probably make this service available to community members. Please drop me a note if you're interested in joining the project.
Got moCBlog? :)
